Tax Analyst – 9 Month Fixed term Contract

We are seeking a Tax Analyst for a 9-month contract position. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in compliance, preferably with some advisory experience, looking to make their first or second move into industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in handling various tax-related responsibilities for UK entities, ensuring compliance and optimisation of tax liabilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for UK entity submissions, ensuring all reliefs and allowances are claimed, and tax liabilities are minimised.
  • Prepare tax calculations and disclosures for audited financial statements.
  • Handle CIR calculations, PSA calculations, and support with TP calculations and documentation.
  • Assist with various other direct tax compliance tasks such as SAO filings, Pillar 2, CBCR, JCFC reporting, and Tax Strategy.
  • Responsible for the quarterly reporting of tax charge with supporting tax packs for UK entities, including posting relevant UK entity tax journals to SAP (CIT, DT, and Group relief).
  • Prepare bi-annual forecast of current year tax charge and annual plan of future tax charge, with supporting tax packs for UK entities.
  • Assist with JSOX compliance for UK Direct Tax.
  • Support the UK Tax Manager in correspondence with UK HMRC, including handling residency certificates and enquiries.
  • Provide support to the wider business by researching and liaising with external service providers on tax advisory matters and ad hoc tax queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, or ACA) required; corporate tax qualification (CTA) is desirable.
  • Experience qualified in practice with a compliance background.
  • Some advisory experience is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Alphatax.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
