We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our well-established Chartered Accountancy firm based in West London. This role is ideal for a professional who is fully ATT/ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified, with CTA candidates also considered. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of self-assessment tax returns, Trust returns, and basic IHT returns, while also providing leadership and strategic direction to the tax team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the preparation of self-assessment tax returns, Trust returns, and basic IHT returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and keep abreast of current tax practices and legislation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to client management.
  • Provide expert advice on Capital Gains Tax, income from property accounts, and other tax-related matters.
  • Review tax reports from stockbrokers and process P11Ds.
  • Develop strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the tax department.
  • Represent the firm in professional business events and contribute to the firm's growth by identifying new client opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified in ATT/ACCA/ACA/ICAS, with CTA qualification considered a strong asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of self-assessment tax returns, Capital Gains Tax, and basic IHT returns.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a tax team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in managing income and expenditure accounts.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
