There is now an opportunity to join a top-tier, market-leading Tax team in London, where you will work on complex and high-profile matters across a broad spectrum of tax law.The Firm:This opportunity is at a Magic Circle law firm with a rich history spanning centuries, the firm is renowned for delivering top-tier legal advice to some of the world's most influential businesses, financial institutions, and governments. With a presence in major financial and commercial hubs across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia, they offer seamless, cross-border expertise across a broad range of practice areas.The Team:The team advise on the most complex cross-border transactions, contentious tax matters and strategic tax advisory issues. They advise financial institutions, funds and corporate entities from all sectors on the tax issues arising on their most difficult, and high-value, transactions, disputes and risk-management issues.The Responsibilities:You will advise on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious tax matters, including:

  • Corporate and finance transactions
  • Private equity and investment structuring
  • Real estate tax
  • VAT and indirect tax
  • Tax disputes and investigations

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1-3 years' PQE in tax law, gained at a top-tier law firm or highly regarded tax practice.
  • Experience working on either contentious or non-contentious tax matters, with a preference of exposure both.
  • Strong technical expertise across corporate, finance, and/or international tax matters.
  • Strong academics from a Russell Group university.
