Technical Lead - Python / Java / TypeScript
Our clients mission is to support local government by delivering strategic transformation and transport innovation. They are a technology and professional service provider where they specialise in traffic data collection. They believe that technology drives efficiency and innovation and they have an exciting pipeline for new technology products aimed at transforming the transportation sector.
The Role:
They are now looking to bring in a Lead Engineer to help drive the technology forwards. As they expand, one of their key milestones is to develop a brand new SAAS application to offer a subscription service to their traffic data. There are also existing products within the business that will need to be further developed. You will be responsible for both the technical direction and also line managing a small team. This team has a lot of scope to grow and expand over the next 6-18 months.
Qualification and experience:
5+ years of experience in software engineering
2+ years in a leadership / mentoring role
Solid experience in OOP languages (Python, Java, Go, TypeScript etc)
Experienced with Cloud Platforms
Strong communication skills
