A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Media Engineer to join a well known global broadcaster. This role will initially run until mid 2025.As the Technical Media Engineer, you will support the Broadcast Systems team in rolling out, migrating, and maintaining channels across multiple regions.

  • Acting as a technical liaison between Playout and the Business for Linear/Non-Linear operations.
  • Coordinating Playout system configurations and testing, including Playlist and Media testing.
  • Collaborating with Playout Graphic teams on data modeling for Promotional and Secondary Events.
  • Engaging with Commercial Sales.
  • Ensuring data flow for seamless content delivery.
  • Identifying gaps and providing workarounds for consistent output.
  • Managing data structure and segmentation issues.
  • Working with QA to document workflows and ensure quality testing.
  • Developing temporary scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, Python, SQL) for ad-hoc workflows and migrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Script development for workflows
  • Data migration for workflows
  • Ad-hoc business solutions with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a media/broadcast engineering role.
  • Proficient in SQL, XML/XSL/JSON, and familiar with Playout systems and workflows.
