Title: Senior Client and Service Charge AccountantLocation - City£48k- £52kFlex working - 2 days in the office, 3 at homeThe role: To manage the reporting and year end service charge reconciliation for a portfolio of properties.Duties:

  • Prepare budget packs alongside property managers and the client
  • Prepare the year end accounts to Extended Trial Balance and liaise with auditors to produce the certificates
  • Liaise with the client once the first draft of accounts have been created
  • Produce client reports in line with management agreement
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Ensure that you review your accounts on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that the accounts checklist with progress of budgets, accounts & periodic reporting are kept up to date in line with the KPI agreement
  • Handle lessee queries on your portfolio
  • Handle the handover of all financial information to new agents for lost schemes
  • Maintain and update contracts on the property management system
  • Provide the relevant financial information to pre-sales packs
  • Calculate utility recharges
  • Maintain ground rent funds and remitting ground rent statements
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the financial clauses within the leases of your portfolio
  • Maintain the property management database
  • Handle the reconciliation of site setup funds, and maintain void accounts for new build clients
  • Support of the Building Safety Act 2022 as and where appropriate

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years + full property accounting experience
  • Have a confident personality
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
