Would you enjoy helping Overseas Visitors get the most out of their Visit to Britain?

British Tours Ltd is seeking a bright, enthusiastic Tour Planner for our small, busy Regent Street office to help organise private tours around London and Britain.

The role involves liaising with customers by phone and email, planning their tours and booking suppliers. You may be asked about a first timer's tour of London, a special interest tour such as a dawn trip to Stonehenge, a private viewing of The Crown Jewels or to design something from scratch - such as an Ancestry tour or a multi-day tour around Britain.

You should possess a strong interest in Britain's history and heritage, have good office and organisational skills, good spoken and written English and be numerate. The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team is essential. The role requires working in our office one in three weekends, for which you will have four days off every three weeks. Experience in a similar role is an advantage.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Handling customer inquiries
  • Designing itineraries
  • Liaising with our team of Tour Guides
  • Booking suppliers
  • Costing tours
  • Processing payments
  • Attending an agent’s meeting once a month and occasional Tour Guides meetings
