Join our dedicated team as a Trusts Fundraising Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in leading successful funding bids and achieving fundraising targets. This position is crucial for supporting the delivery of our broader business plan and fundraising strategies.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Implement an income strategy for the charity, ensuring continued success and planned growth to fulfil our charitable goals.
  • Develop and sustain trust and foundation work, identify new funders, and maximise opportunities through multiple propositions.
  • Produce high-quality funding applications in line with potential funders' requirements and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to review budget information and ensure accurate applications and reports are submitted.
  • Manage and monitor multiple applications, providing additional information promptly as required.
  • Track and plan applications throughout the year to ensure a continuous income stream.
  • Lead the reporting schedule on behalf of the organisation and meet financial targets related to income from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
  • Produce reports and attend internal meetings as necessary, including Directorate, Management, and planning meetings.
  • Undertake other duties as required and participate in training or professional development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in preparing and submitting compelling trust funding applications, with a proven track record of raising funds in excess of £100,000 annually.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining key relationships with funders and funding bodies over a sustained period.
  • High standard of written English and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, including word processing, emailing, record keeping, budgets, web-based research, and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to manage budgets, time, and resources effectively, plan and prioritise activities, and work effectively under own direction or within a team.
