New Vacancy - Underwriting Engagement ManagerLloyd's Reinsurer City of London I am currently recruiting for a leading Terrorism Reinsurer who are seeking a Underwriting Engagement Manager to join their growing team.My client is looking for someone with a strong technical background in direct/reinsurance UK commercial property underwriting. Whilst this role won't be actively underwriting, it will be taking the lead of managing stakeholders and dealing with renewals with all participating members. The role will have an element of assessing risks that the business reinsure too.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Pricing team to ensure that premiums are appropriately set based on the level of risk and market conditions.
  • Monitor and analyse claims data to identify trends and provide recommendations for underwriting improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes related to Terrorism insurance.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior underwriters and support staff on technical aspects of Terrorism underwriting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and other stakeholders in the Terrorism insurance market.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and policies to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the Terrorism portfolio.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and working groups to stay informed about emerging risks and best practices in Terrorism underwriting.
  • Conduct regular reviews of underwriting practices and procedures to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Terrorism insurance market and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
  • Support the Head of Underwriting in strategic decision-making and long-term planning for the Terrorism portfolio.
