Underwriting Operations Coordinator

The Operations team supports business processing, liaising with other functions to ensure efficiency & effectiveness across a broad array of activities from policy specific transaction support to change management and on-boarding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee department operations such as submission, submission flow management, policy endorsements, renewal processing, and peer review
  • Steward the daily underwriting "housekeeping" activities
  • Act as the main point of contact and triage for any cross functional requests, which may include any requests and queries related to data used for outwards reporting, outwards reinsurance, compliance, or financial close
  • Close collaboration with our strategic outsourcing partner
  • Provide support to Data Management ensuring that Underwriting Guidelines are adhered to and underwriting controls are performed
  • You will need
  • Experience within Underwriting Operations
  • A good insight into the (re)insurance industry, ideally across a variety of lines of business
  • Adept at problem solving and identifying practical solutions, while communicating clearly and in a transparent manner throughout the process
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer skills including the core MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
