Our client, a prestigious organisation, is seeking an Underwriting Support Technician to join their Underwriting department. The role involves providing essential support to Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants, ensuring the smooth processing of documentation and compliance with underwriting policies.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure timely data entry of enquiries, declines, and fleet setup within underwriting service standards.
  • Record NTUs and update monthly reports promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with processing charterer's entries and basic entries.
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation for Underwriters.
  • Update and manage the Club's 'Know Your Client' requirements and assist underwriters with Member enquiries.
  • Prepare minutes for team meetings and adhere to underwriting guidelines.
  • Assist in the renewal process by collating renewal statistics.
  • Ensure efficient and timely production of renewal documentation.
  • Liaise with credit control to review debt positions as part of the renewal assessment process.
  • Produce documentation and reports as required.
  • Maintain systematic and orderly files, following department service standards.
  • Assist in creating and implementing new filing procedures.
  • Support Underwriters in developing new business, promoting the Association's interests, and maintaining strong relationships with Members, Brokers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality service to Members in line with the Association's standards and collaborate with other offices and departments to meet business goals.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Strong A-levels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
