Key Responsibilities

As VAT Manager, you will lead and develop a team of VAT professionals, providing technical guidance and mentoring to ensure delivery of exceptional client service
Manage complex VAT advisory projects across various sectors, including technology, real estate, financial services, and retail
Review VAT returns and provide strategic advice on VAT planning opportunities, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for VAT matters
Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including proposal writing and attending client pitches
Collaborate with other service lines to provide integrated tax solutions and cross-sell opportunities
Stay current with VAT legislation changes and effectively communicate updates to both team members and clients

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years' VAT experience, with at least 2 years at manager level
Comprehensive knowledge of UK VAT legislation and its practical application
Experience in managing and developing team members
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Excellent project management and organisational abilities
Central London based or able to commute to Central London office
