Description

  • Oversee all aspects of the exclusive cigar lounge, ensuring it operates smoothly and maintains its luxurious appeal.
  • Maintain and manage an exclusive clientele of cigar enthusiasts and aficionados.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive footfall to this luxury venue and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of cigars and share this expertise with both staff and customers.
  • Hire, train, and manage retail staff to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Implement and oversee inventory control measures to minimise stock loss.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers and staff.

Profile

A successful Cigar Manager should have:

  • A valid and recognised Cigar Sommelier Certification and License to sell.
  • Complete understanding of process of making, maturing and storing cigars and knowledge of best pairings.
  • A robust background in a luxury hospitality environment, especially within a cigar lounge.
  • An exclusive black book and a sought-after sommelier with luxury clientele.
  • Prior experience in managing staff and all aspects of hiring, mentoring, P&L, operations, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cigars, from cultivation to consumption.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a knack for inspiring and motivating a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to cater to a high-end clientele.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a highly articulate service-oriented person.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
