VOIP Technical Lead

Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel to Vauxhall | SC Clearance Required | £400 - £550 per day (Inside IR35) - 2 days per week, estimated 3 month contract initially

Due to continued success, we are expanding our society of consultants to fulfil current and future demands within our defence portfolio, particularly one of the largest Defence frameworks in the UK, which we have proudly supported for over five years.

We are seeking an accomplished VoIP Expert (Technical Lead) with experience in configuring, operating, and securing public VoIP services to support a critical project. This role will contribute to the assessment of VoIP provider vulnerabilities in the UK, ensuring technical assurance, risk management, and alignment to customer objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Technical Authority for the project, ensuring that all outcomes are achieved.
• Provide technical assurance and guidance to delivery teams.
• Research and document VoIP security vulnerabilities and fraud risks.
• Investigate and assess how criminals exploit unregulated VoIP services.
• Work closely with multi-supplier teams and the ACE Technical Assurer to manage technical risk.
• Support the development of recommendations for improved VoIP security and regulation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in VoIP technologies- configuring & operating public VoIP services.
• Knowledge of VoIP vulnerabilities, fraud, and security risks.
• Familiarity with VoIP fraud prevention techniques.
• Experience working in Agile environments with multi-supplier teams.
• Ability to assure project progress and align technical delivery to objectives.
• SC Clearance is required.
