Based:           Remote with occasional onsite work (travel expenses paid)

Our client, a specialist charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse and creating safer communities is looking for a Whole Housing Approach (WHA) Coordinator to join their team.

Synopsis of duties:

  • Collaborate with three London Boroughs and a range of multi-agency partners to ensure the effective and inclusive implementation of the WHA model across the areas.
  • Assessing and managing applications for safety measures and urgent funding requests, enabling victims and survivors of domestic abuse to access safe, secure, and supportive accommodation
  • Coordinate and manage the Sanctuary Scheme (Hammersmith & Fulham) and Flexible Funding Scheme (Tri-Borough), processing applications and responding to urgent funding requests efficiently.
  • Collaborate with local housing services and multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated housing response for domestic abuse survivors.
  • Review and assess applications for safety measures and funding, ensuring compliance with policies and the needs of survivors.
  • Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance in all aspects of the role.
  • Monitor and report on application progress, funding allocation, and outcomes, providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement to ensure housing solutions are accessible and responsive to the needs of survivors.

Essential Requirements

•     Strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact, particularly in relation to housing and accommodation needs.

•     Knowledge of housing and homelessness issues, and the barriers survivors face in accessing housing services.

•     Experience working within the coordinated community response to domestic abuse, with a commitment to partnership working
