On behalf of our client we are looking for an experienced Yard Person (Caretaker) to work at a large residential development in Isle of Dogs area, E14. You will be responsible for managing the bins and bin area and to ensure proper waste disposal and manage the cleanliness of the bin area, drive a bin tug on the development (training will be provided), litter picking of the estate grounds and car parks and annual jet washing; perform security checks on all blocks to ensure unauthorised access is prevented, ensure all main entry doors are closed and secure, taking necessary actions to address any issues, perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and repairing door handles, painting small areas or patch repair walls, maintain the cleanliness of the main entries of each block on a daily basis etc. The right candidate for the role of course needs to have cleaning and grounds maintenance experience, basic handyman skills and love the outdoors! You should be fit and active for this physically demanding role. Must be an excellent communicator who is able to report incidents, write reports, liaise with the team and Estate Manager, knowledgeable in relation to use of jet wash machinery and cleaning equipment and health and safety.
