About the Role:
  • Position: Year 1 Teacher
  • Location: Haringey, London
  • Pay Rate: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term position (Monday to Friday)

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of young learners, delivering high-quality lessons that promote curiosity, achievement, and personal development. You will work alongside a dedicated team of educators to create a positive and engaging learning environment tailored to the needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum for Year 1
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to support individual learning needs
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student well-being and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to education
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour management and establish a positive classroom culture
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Proven experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1 (KS1) is required
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and a range of effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and motivating learning environment
