Year 2 Teacher - Mainstream Primary School - Tower Hamlets

We are currently assisting a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher. This role is crucial in guiding students through their first formal exam experience (Year 2 SATs) while fostering a love for learning.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will create an engaging and supportive environment, ensuring students develop the confidence and skills needed to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in their academic, social, and emotional development, preparing them for a smooth transition into Key Stage 2.

Position: Year 2 Teacher - Mainstream Primary School

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, with a particular focus on preparing students for Year 2 SATs.
Provide targeted support to ensure students grasp core concepts in English, Maths, and other foundation subjects.
Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and identify areas for development.
Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that supports all pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff members to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's educational journey.

Experience & Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2, is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment framework, including Year 2 SATs preparation.
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
Passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
