Our client a national support charity is currently recruiting for a Support Services Lead to cover a 1 year maternity contract. Reporting to the CEO you will lead the strategic development and implementation of the work of the Support Services Support Team, linking all strands of support services such as the helpline, befriending service, local support groups, Resilience Building Programme, information guides and casework provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold lead responsibility for the development and delivery of support services in line with the charity's strategic plan.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of the support services sector for adults, with a particular focus on the peer-to-peer support model, services, professional practice and policy.
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with appropriate professional bodies and agencies.
    Lead, oversee and manage the successful delivery of locally funded projects.

About You:

  • Experience in a senior leadership role in a support / advice organisation.
  • At least two yearsʼ experience in advice, advocacy or casework and working with vulnerable adults, preferably on a helpline.
  • Experience in managing teams and cross working across different departments.
  • Organised and methodical, with an ability to prioritise a busy workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a professional manner.
