Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Polisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in utilising hand and power tools to achieve high-quality finishes on various materials. The Polisher will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet our stringent quality standards before they are dispatched. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The role will be working 3 days per week flexible to the candidate.
Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools to polish surfaces of products to achieve desired finishes.
- Assemble and fabricate components as required for production processes.
- Use basic maths skills to measure and calculate dimensions accurately during polishing tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, identifying any defects or areas needing further attention.
- Utilise SolidWorks for design modifications when necessary, ensuring that all specifications are met.
- Assist in welding and grinding tasks as needed, contributing to the overall production process.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with tooling processes and techniques is advantageous.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of SolidWorks is desirable but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is beneficial.
