Job Title: Facilities Assistant (Part-Time)

About Our Client:
We are thrilled to partner with a prestigious membership body located in the heart of the West End. They are seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join their team and ensure their premises are safe, secure, and efficiently managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks to maintain security and ensure evacuation protocols are in place, including opening and closing the building.
- Plan and prepare meeting rooms for both internal and external clients, including AV setup, while addressing technical queries to meet client needs.
- Organise safe storage of meeting room furniture and equipment, auditing stock and reporting any deficiencies to the Assistant Facilities Manager.
- Perform cleaning of external areas, ensuring that drains and gutters remain clear of blockages.
- Manage waste disposal in compliance with safety procedures and legal requirements.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and items as needed throughout the building.
- Supervise deliveries, ensuring building security and accurate record-keeping of delivery notes.
- Support security measures by responding to requests for assistance, maintaining the integrity of the building and preventing unauthorised access.
- Provide Reception cover at the start and end of the day, ensuring essential services are available to all occupants.
- Respond to inquiries and service requests from staff and tenants logged through the Facilities helpdesk.
- Provide first aid and fire warden services as required, including assisting with personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPs).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facilities management or a related role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations; first aid certification is a plus.
