Hybrid Working- 2 days minimum on campus 

ASAP Start 

Main duties:

An up-to-date knowledge of the Initial Teacher Education sector.

Work closely with the heads of primary and secondary PGCE programmes to ensure the ITE quality criteria are maintained.

Liaise with tutors to maintain an overview of the curriculum being delivered across Primary and Secondary programmes, ensuring the adherence to programme and module specifications and coverage of the Core Content Framework entitlements.

With the Head of Teacher Education, Primary PGCE programme leader and Secondary PGCE programme leader to support the Head of Department in ensuring that targets are met for student recruitment, retention experience and satisfaction across all PGCE programmes.

Work with the partnership leads to ensure that mentoring processes, including mentor training, are in place and tracking systems used.

Ensure that systems and processes designed to support student progression are implemented correctly. Support tutors in addressing students giving cause for concerns.

Work with the Head of Teacher Education on improvement planning activity, working with Primary and Secondary programme leaders to produce self-evaluation documentation, ensuring that programme priority areas are disseminated to colleagues.

Implement systems and processes for the collation of profile data, identification of trends and the development of appropriate interventions.

Support professional learning and growth opportunities by attending PGCE team meetings.

Support the responses to written external examiner reports in partnership with Primary and Secondary Programme leaders

In liaison with relevant teams, where necessary, and working with the Head of ITE, update the Partnership Agreement, ensuring that these are in line with ITT compliancy and meets the requirements of the University’s legal and procurements regulations.

Ensure awareness of and alignment with the University’s Regulations, Strategy, Objectives to work together to proactively advance Equality and Diversity

At all times help maintain a safe working environment by participating in training as necessary and following the University’s Health and Safety Codes of Practice and Policy.
