We are seeking a Therapeutic Education Practitioner in London to support hard-to-reach young people with SEMH, ACEs, ASC, sensory, and communication needs in a community-based role. Role Highlights:
  • Therapeutic Education Practitioner position in London, starting immediately
  • Full-time, temporary long-term role, 8.30 am 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday

  • Regular CPD, meetings, and resources provided on Fridays at The Boathouse Studios, Barking
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students, building trust and resilience
  • Lead community-based sessions, with flexibility to travel across London as needed
  • Maintain professional boundaries while fostering healthy, therapeutic relationships
  • Engage with project-based learning groups, supporting varied educational needs
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience with young people with SEMH, ACEs, ASC, sensory, or communication difficulties
  • Trauma-informed understanding of therapeutic education and behavioural support
  • Solution-focused, resilient, and reflective approach
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with an emphasis on creating positive change
  • Ability to travel as required, with reliable attendance at the Barking hub for Friday sessions
