Are you an experienced Estate Surveyor looking for a rewarding opportunity to contribute to your local community? We have an exciting role available with a respected local authority in London.

As an Estate Surveyor within our local authority, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our property portfolio across London. You will conduct property inspections, manage leases, negotiate acquisitions and disposals, and provide expert advice on property-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize revenue through strategic property lettings and identify new income opportunities.
  • Monitor lease agreements to protect the Council's interests and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in minimizing dilapidation claims against the Council through proactive measures.
  • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities to enhance income streams and add value.
  • Provide valuable support for major regeneration projects and participate in complex negotiations.
  • Offer strategic housing advice to the Council to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Provide expert advice on estate management for third-party occupancies.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to reduce carbon footprint within the estate.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estate Surveyor or similar role within the public sector or local government.
  • In-depth knowledge of property legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive stakeholder relationships.
