Experienced Horticulturist / Maintenance Gardener (MUST HOLD A VALID UK DRIVING LICENSE)

Holiday: Base 31 days - including bank holidays, birthday day, and 24th / 31st of December. Loyalty scheme increases holiday allowance with years of service.

Pay grade: £27,000-£35,000 DOE

Job Summary:We are looking for a passionate, personable, and knowledgeable horticulturalist to join our team based in Primrose Hill. The role requires a real drive and desire to deliver exceptional quality garden services and achieve a perfect finish to high-end residential properties. A hands-on and joyful attitude is essential to fit into the team culture, along with a thirst for knowledge and a commitment to progressing within the role.

Our team consists of diverse, passionate horticulturalists who love what they do. We focus on garden care and maintenance while also periodically managing garden makeover projects, soft landscaping work, and evolving our client's gardens into beautiful and bio-diverse outdoor sanctuaries.

We seek an experienced and enthusiastic individual with tenacious motivation to nurture green spaces. The ideal candidate should be committed to continuously improving their knowledge of updated horticultural practices and techniques. Exceptional contributions will be recognised and rewarded.

The Role:

  • Full-time employment
  • General working hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Highly competitive salary with prospects of bonuses
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Garden maintenance (all associated tasks) across multiple gardens daily
  • Garden makeovers and landscaping (soft landscaping, planting, turfing, soil works, steel edge installation, etc.)
  • Monitoring irrigation systems and water features

The Successful Applicant Must:

  • Hold a full and clean UK driving license
  • Possess strong horticultural knowledge and plant expertise
  • Have horticultural qualifications or proven professional experience
  • Be personable, well-mannered, and presentable to engage with high-end clients
  • Work proactively and independently, both in a team and alone
  • Be flexible with work hours
  • Exhibit professionalism, focus, and efficiency on the job
  • Manage time effectively
  • Be tidy and considerate (as side access is not always available, requiring home access)
  • Be confident in plant health, pruning, and shaping with proper horticultural practices
  • Understand common pests and diseases, prioritising Eco-friendly prevention and treatment methods
  • Have good tool knowledge and effective usage skills
  • Appreciate and understand garden design principles

Personal Management:

  • Staff are expected to arrive promptly and reliably commute to NW3 by 7:30 am daily.
