About the Role

Are you passionate about science education and eager to contribute to student success in a hands-on role? We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join a secondary school in Haringey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation & Setup: Organise and prepare equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical science lessons.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and equipment in compliance with regulations.
  • Practical Support: Assist teaching staff during practical sessions and demonstrations as needed.
  • Lab Maintenance: Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring labs are well-organised and fully stocked.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct regular safety checks and maintain adherence to safety standards.
Requirements
  • A strong interest in science and knowledge of laboratory procedures in a school
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, supportive attitude when working with teaching staff and students.
  • Basic IT skills with a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a lab environment.
