Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer for a contract role within the Council. This position calls for an experienced professional to provide planning enforcement expertise and manage complex case work.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the objectives of the Planning Enforcement Team by maintaining and improving the environment of the Borough through the implementation of the Council's Local Development Framework, the Core Strategy, the Mayor's London Plan, and other national and local planning policies
  • provide an efficient, effective, and value-for-money service, while aiding in the delivery of the objectives of the Pollution Control, Planning Enforcement Action Plan through flexible and effective enforcement tactics and operations


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in town planning and planning enforcement
  • Strong leadership skills
  • In-depth understanding of planning policies, including the Local Development Framework, Core Strategy, and the Mayor's London Plan
  • Effective decision-making abilities within delegated powers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to oversee complex planning enforcement cases and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Capability to balance multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
