LSC is seeking to appoint a Buildings Maintenance Officer to assist in all matters relating to the upkeep and maintenance of the campus premises, repairs and general building works. Duties will include the following:

  • Opening and closing of all buildings
  • Supervision of buildings and general maintenance
  • Ensuring all buildings are kept clean and tidy, supervision of cleaning staff.
  • Liaising with third party contractors
  • Receiving and distributing deliveries
  • Assisting with re-arranging rooms, for meetings, functions and general day to day classes.
  • Implement and review the Schools Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Carry out risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with driving duties in the South London area (must have a full UK licence)
  • Ensuring all buildings are kept secure and CCTV is functioning
  • Ensuring all function rooms and staff areas are replenished with tea/coffee and other supplies

Person Specification

  • Basic knowledge of electrics, plumbing and carpentry
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends
  • Adaptable and flexible (hours may vary, depending on the needs of the business)
