Deputy Nursery Manager

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled childcare professional to join as a Deputy Nursery Manager in Lewisham. In this role, you’ll assist in leading the team in providing exceptional care and education, while supporting colleages and ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery. As Deputy Nursery Manager you’ll also build strong partnerships with parents and carers, prioritising the safety and well-being of the children.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for assisting the preparation and delivery of educational activities, tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years. 

• Adhere to nursery policies and guidelines, as well as observe staff practise to ensure a consistently high standard of safeguarding is maintained. 

• Help carry out general admin duties, training and mentoring staff when needed.  

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. 

• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, team members and parents with any SEND/ASL needs. 

Requirements as a Deputy Nursery Manager: 

• Eligibility to work in the UK. 

• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one. 

• MUST hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (higher level advantageous but not essential) 

• Excellent communication and written skills.
