An outstanding independent prep school in South East London are recruiting a Deputy Head Pastoral for January 2025. This is a full time role on a 1 year fixed term contract.

This independent school aims to ensure pupils develop as independent lifelong learners and to provide a first-class, all round education for every child. Every pupil is treated as an individual to ensure they all achieve their full potential. The school's ethos promotes a desire for achievement and success both in and outside of the classroom, but also to have fun and enjoy learning and school life.

The Deputy Head (Pastoral) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team of the school. The Deputy Head (Pastoral) ensures that the School has the pastoral, safeguarding and professional practices to the high standards necessary to enable pupils to meet their full potential to gain entry to top senior schools and staff flourish in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills and is able to lead and delegate effectively and positively. They must have extensive teaching experience as well as management experience. The school is looking for someone who has a demonstrable enthusiasm for education and the welfare of young people.
