We are currently working in partnership with an educational institution based in North London, who are recruiting for a Maternity cover, Business Manager. The position is due to start at the beginning of November. The annual salary being offered for this role is £73,221 - £85,088 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an educational institution, financial expertise, leadership skills, strategic vision, operational efficiency and excellent communication with stakeholders.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting staff and managers to follow and uphold HR processes and understand pay and pensions
  • Maintaining safer recruitment practices and an accurate central register
  • Providing payroll with accurate data on contractual changes and pay
  • Monitoring staff absence per organisational policies
  • Ensuring data policy compliance by training staff and implementing retention policies
  • Leading on risk management discussions
  • Ensuring site security, safety and maintenance
  • Planning repairs, renovations and redecorations on the site

Experience required:

  • Experience working within an educational institution
  • Past experience leading on risk management
  • Single Central Register experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Up to date employment law knowledge
  • Skilled in strategic planning
  • Knowledgeable of the educational environment
  • Expert in maintaining confidentiality where necessary
  • Organisational skills
