Job Description

  • Lead the relationship between LSE and the University of London, ensuring the highest standards in programme assessment, quality, and governance.

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for the EMFSS programme, ensuring alignment with LSE's academic and commercial goals.

  • Manage and motivate a diverse team, fostering collaboration with the Business Development team and ensuring aligned objectives.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with LSE academics, the University of London, Recognised Teaching Centres, and external accreditation bodies.

  • Oversee programme development, expanding qualifications and course offerings, while ensuring high standards of assessment and quality.

  • Manage the EMFSS programme budget and deputise for the Associate Director (Distance Learning) when needed.

  • Ensure effective operations and governance, overseeing the planning and delivery of key programme processes, including exam assessments and committee governance.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and strategic leader with a strong track record in managing large commercial relationships.

You will bring strong commercial acumen and have proven expertise in developing and implementing long-term strategies that drive commercial objectives and revenue growth.

As a collaborative leader, you will manage and inspire a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous development. You will also demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills as this role works closely with senior LSE academics, international partners, and accreditation bodies.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in complex operational environments, with the ability to lead change and drive innovation in a well-established institution.

We are especially interested in individuals from a corporate partnerships background, even if you do not have prior experience in education. Education sector experience is not required.
