Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in London to facilitate the appointment of an Interim Headteacher for a special education school on an interim basis

This role has become available due to a leadership gap within the school, and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic improvements, ensuring high-quality education provision, and supporting staff through this transition period. The school caters to students with complex needs, and the focus will be on stabilising leadership, maintaining high standards of safeguarding, and improving educational outcomes.



Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the school.
  • Ensure the school meets all Ofsted and safeguarding requirements.
  • Support and develop the senior leadership team and staff.
  • Work closely with the Local Authority and governing body to drive improvements.


To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Headteacher or senior leader in a special education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • A track record of leading school improvement initiatives.
  • The ability to effectively manage staff and resources during a period of transition.
