A leading educational institution are searching for a Teaching and Learning Manager to join their team

Purpose:

the purpose of the post is to be responsible for the management and administration of taught programmes, including the provision of support to academic/teaching staff and students throughout the entire student life cycle. Management of the team will involve setting objectives, giving feedback and appraisals, planning work and managing performance.

Covering designated courses/programmes, the post holder will ensure that effective practices are adopted for dealing with all aspects including marketing, enquiries, applications, procedural adherence, examinations, progression, graduation and alumni services

Duties:

To take overall responsibility for the administration of teaching courses/programmes of the designated area, managing these courses/programmes to improve their administration, teaching quality, policies, protocols and processes.

  • To manage a team of teaching and learning administrators and the course/programme related activities for the designated and will be expected to:
  • Set individual and team objectives, monitor performance, give feedback & appraisals, coach and mentor direct reports, identify training
  • Responsible for the administrative support of all taught programmes: admissions, student attendance monitoring, student advice, field trips, student assessment and exam boards and scholarships and awards.
  • Responsible for overall administration of timetabling, room booking, annual monitoring, student feedback and programme amendments.
  • Management of exams including processing marks and exam board reports using PORTICO
  • Oversee admissions and enrolment on all programmes within your area
  • Co-ordinate the student attendance scheme
  • Advise student on scholarship information
  • Manage strategic relationships within the wider departments
  • Represent the college at committees
