An exciting opportunity within a 1 form entry primary school in St John's Wood has arisen for an experienced year 3 Teacher. You will be part of a supportive and friendly team of educators who are focused on helping students to achieve their very best.

The ideal Year 3 Teacher will be passionate, dedicated and have a strong understanding and experience with the KS2 UK curriculum. The Year 3 Teacher will be given full class responsibility, plenty of support and ample PPA time throughout the week.

Responsibilities of the Year 3 Teacher:

  • To be directly responsible for the standards the pupils achieve and to ensure that they demonstrate competence equal to their abilities across the Curriculum.
  • Undertake further training and professional development opportunities to keep up to date with best practice, attend staff meetings and INSET days.
  • Provide annual written reports for parents and consult with them at the termly parents/teacher meetings.
  • Contribute to assemblies and such events, including to help organise and participate in educational visits for pupils to enrich the curriculum
  • Carry out such additional duties as may be reasonably required by the Head of School from time to time
  • Be responsible for safeguarding, pastoral care, discipline and guidance for the pupils.

What do you need to qualify for the Year 3 Teacher post:

  • UK QTS - ECT applicants are also encouraged to apply
  • UK based teaching experience and strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Passion and experience teaching within KS2
  • Strong behaviour management skills
