The firm is independently owned by the Directors and employees, all based together in one office, supporting each other without corporate interference or distractions irrelevant to project delivery. They can provide technical support when needed, but otherwise trust employees to independently manage their workload.
As an Associate Public Health Engineer you will be responsible for leading the plumbing design solutions on complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery, represent the business in front of clients and architects, and provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the public health design on complex and large-scale UK and International projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial.
- Manage the delivery of public health design solutions in accordance with British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
- Produce detailed public health designs and specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and energy efficiency standards.
- Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate the public health design solutions.
- Attend site visits and meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and design team members to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Mentor junior engineers to ensure their development and provide technical guidance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging public health design technologies and practices.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified.
- Minimum of 10 years' UK experience in public health design engineering within the building services industry.
- Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
- Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
