- Respond to incidents within the Project Facilities within contractual timescales.
- Install and maintain physical emergency traffic management in accordance with legislative requirements and as outlined within the safe system of work (SSOW).
- Mange “deployed to scene” resources to support the prompt clearance of incidents.
- Represent the company as “Bronze on scene” providing a single point of contact for Emergency Services and a direct link to the Tunnel Control Centre.
- Provide continual updates to the TCC.
- Partake in annual reviews of Incident response procedures and Safe systems of work to ensure best practices and lessons learned are incorporated.
- Carry out route maintenance and repairs to the Project Facilities as required, using plant and equipment, provided the relevant training has been received.
- Support the TCC with ad-hoc operational cover as and when required, provided the relevant training has been received.
- Obtain relevant on-scene details to enable the processing of Third-Party Claims
- Complete accident/incident reports by acquiring the required information from the Emergency Services/customers etc.
- Carry out daily checks of vehicles, plant and materials to ensure availability and efficient utilisation.
- Work shifts covering a 24hr period.
- Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with the general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Procedures Manual.
- Delivery routine maintenance task as required.
- Support with the delivery of Severe weather where required.
- Liaise with the TCC to monitor traffic conditions and alleviate congestion.
- Perform other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.
- Appropriate qualifications in NHSS12 a,b, and d for emergency traffic management (90 minutes closures).
- Experience of working within the highways industry including knowledge of network operations.

- Full driving licence.
- Incident Management experience (desirable)
- Experience in traffic management (desirable).
