About the role:

West London College seeks an experienced and proactive Head of Health and Safety (HoHS) to lead Health and Safety initiatives across all college sites. In this crucial role, the HoHS will ensure that the College meets and exceeds statutory obligations, fostering a positive safety culture and implementing best practices in health, safety, and wellbeing management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Leadership: Lead and develop the College’s health and safety strategy, ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act.
  • Risk Management & Audits: Oversee risk assessments, incident management, and safety audits to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
  • Policy Development & Training: Develop policies, procedures, and training programs, while continuously improving health and safety standards across all college operations.
  • Collaborative Safety Culture: Engage with leaders, managers, and staff to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and well-being practices.
