About the Role:We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor to join our team in London. You will work closely with our HSQE and Site teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and legislation across our project sites in the UK and Ireland. This role will require regular travel to different project locations each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment that minimizes health risks.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and establish safe operational procedures.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce workplace hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and safe working practices.
  • Oversee safety inspections, fire drills, and risk assessments, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Conduct inductions for new office-based staff and ensure awareness of H&S responsibilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and industry developments.
  • Safely manage the installation of equipment and the disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos).
  • Record and report incidents and accidents to management.
  • Liaise with external health and safety authorities.
  • Ensure all site personnel have the appropriate certification and access cards.
  • Manage the procurement of PPE and necessary safety equipment.
  • Review and update H&S policies regularly, ensuring effective communication of changes.
  • Perform any additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement safety procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites across the UK and Ireland.
