Role Overview: Are you an experienced Health & Safety Advisor looking for a rewarding and impactful role in a major infrastructure project? Join the BMB team on the groundbreaking Tideway West project, responsible for delivering the West section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel. This is your opportunity to be a key player in ensuring the highest health, safety, and wellbeing standards are upheld as we move toward the system commissioning phase.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide expert Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) technical support to ensure legislative and client requirements are met.
  • Monitor the implementation of BMB policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring their effectiveness across construction and commissioning activities.
  • Support the development and monitoring of HSW strategies, ensuring the project stays on track to meet key health and safety deliverables.
  • Lead site inspections and create reports to identify risk areas, while also providing positive observations and improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with senior teams to deliver monthly performance feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Take an active role in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, adhering to BMB and Tideway standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive HSW excellence, including supply chain partners and client teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • NEBOSH (minimum) qualification in Health & Safety.
  • Strong background in health and safety management within civils or construction environments.
  • Ability to influence, engage, and advise the project team in achieving safety goals.
  • Expertise in preparing and reviewing risk assessments, work plans, and safety documentation.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing.
