We have a new opportunity for Health and safety advisor.

The role will include travel to sites (4 out of 5 days per week) across London

Client Details

Large London based construction company, that is well funded and looking to take more projects on this year with new clients.

Description

  • Give advice and guidance on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental issues at all stages of a contract.
  • Ensure the JCA Safe System of Work is implemented on sites and adhered to at all times.
  • Conduct HSE inspections on sites in line with the JCA Monitoring Schedule.
  • Conduct audits supporting the ISO 45001 accreditation.
  • Assist on all accident and incident investigations.
  • Give guidance and professional advice in the production of site-specific risk assessments and method statements supporting operations.
  • Assist with the completion of HSE sections of client PQQs, CPP's and tender information requests.
  • Engage with delivery teams at the inception of a contract to give HSE advice and guidance.
  • Support external audits by accreditation bodies or clients.
  • Assist with the co-ordination and completion of DSE assessments and associated paperwork for all JCA employees.
  • Produce monthly H&S reports for inclusion in HSE Managers reports for presentation to the Executive Board members.
  • Conduct regular sub-contractor control inspections on company sites.
  • Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Director responsible for Health and Safety any relevant new legislation.
  • Report if situations are found that require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation.

Profile

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (essential)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of health and safety and quality assurance
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of ISO 45001
  • Experience of working directly with end user H&S team
  • Experience in construction projects and maintenance delivery
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office package
  • CSCS Safety Professional card
  • Member of IOSH

Job Offer

  • £40,000 salary
