Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator with Health and Safety expertise to work for an established company based in London.

My client is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to assist and advise on all Health and Safety standards, with responsibilities including planning, implementing, and reviewing protective and preventative safety measures. The ideal candidate will hold an IOSH qualification and have a strong track record in a similar role.

Job Title - Health and Safety Coordinator

Length - Permanent, Hybrid 4 days in the office.

Salary: between £45,000k - £50,000k

Location: City of London

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain Health and Safety standards across all sites.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures to meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Advise management and staff on health, safety, and welfare matters.
  • Attend and follow up on actions from Health & Safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety legislation for employees and operations.
  • Plan, implement, and review protective and preventative safety measures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify ways to mitigate risks.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Record inspection findings and recommend improvements.
  • Deliver in-house training on Health and Safety issues and risks.
  • Ensure timely completion of actions from assessments and inspections.
  • Track and analyse first aid reports to monitor trends.
  • Manage Health and Safety communications effectively.

Skills and experience:

  • Degree qualification.
  • Experience in Financial Services with a strong track record in a similar role.
  • Health and Safety expertise.
  • IOSH qualification (mandatory); NEBOSH or NCRQ (desirable).
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational abilities.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Skilled in building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
