- Provide hands on support balanced with providing strategic direction for EHS across 3 sites closely located to each other.
- Coach and mentor 1 direct report - EHS Co-ordinator
- Collaborate with other departmental managers to drive best practice, contributing the wider company EHS strategy with a mindset of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a safety-first culture is prevalent across the site. They will act as a leading role model for a strong EHS culture.
- Ensure all relevant EHS related training (e.g. first aid, fire wardens etc) is identified, training plan in place and completed.
- Ensure that the site has suitable arrangements in place for emergency planning. Ensure that all relevant information is kept up to date and displayed clearly in suitable locations
- Provide advice and guidance to all relevant parties relating to all Occupational Health requirements
- Provide expert advice and support to Project Management Teams with regards to EHS project compliance and the design of safe systems and processes
- Responsible for producing monthly EHS reports based on a robust and informative suite of EHS KPI’s
- To manage and provide advice on energy, carbon, waste, transport, environmental compliance and represent to individual managers and/or the board
- Ensure there is an effective programme of EHS audits and inspections in place.
- Responsible for managing any Personal Injury claims in conjunction with the relevant 3rd parties (e.g. Insurance Providers)
- Ensure that EHS is an integral part of the induction process for new employees, contractors and agency staff
- Responsible for managing the EHS budget
- Participate in the development and execution of Little Moons’ broader Sustainability Strategy, such as carbon footprint reduction, water conservation, and renewable energy utilisation
- Work closely with the Sustainability function to support relevant activities in that area (e.g. B-Corp, Carbon footprint reduction)
- Identify energy saving opportunities, utilising available technology wherever practicable
- Identify opportunities for shared value within the business and aim to embed shared value thinking across all business sectors
- Management experience within the manufacturing sector ideally
- NEBOSH Certificate, ideally NEBOSH Diploma
- Proven to support and improve safety culture
- Able to influence, gain buy -in with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to make safety fun, a dynamic person who can communicate with confidence and gravitas
- Willing to roll up their sleeves and collaborate and troubleshoot.
