This company is looking for a passionate and approachable HSE Manager to join the team and help support a heritage, complex, manufacturing site.Job Title, Health, Safety and Environment ManagerLocation, Chiswick, LondonSalary, £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + 10% Bonus, Private Medical and Dental, 25 days holiday + bank.Reporting to, Head of Health, Safety and EnvironmentMy client is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to lead Health, Safety and Environment across the site and support the Head of HSE.The ideal candidate would be passionate and engaging in their approach, able to lead with positive mindset, lead change management, problem solve, evolve procedures, and promote effective, positive, proactive culture and behaviours.Main responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Group OHS strategy and associated plans for the business
  • Ensure that the requirements of all relevant HSE legislation are up to date and followed and that the business complies with corporate and legal requirements at all times.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the onsite HSE Advisor
  • Implement and nourish a positive and proactive Health and Safety culture and ensure it is supported at all levels of the workforce across the site, supporting their journey towards interdependency
  • Deliver continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environment standards and practices year on year.
  • Provide training to prevent accidents, conduct risk assessments and investigate accidents/near misses making recommendations for improvements.
  • Support the Head of HSE with some exciting projects and also spearheading campaigns across this site
  • Support stakeholders, influence and engage middle management to ensure HSE continues to be a number one priority
  • Run and present internal meetings
Experience, training and qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Certificate is essential, NEBOSH Diploma ( or equivalent) is desirable
  • Prior Safety, Health and Environmental experience at a senior advisor or regional or managerial level is essential
  • High risk manufacturing experience, ideally within a fast paced environment like Food and Beverage is preferred. Experience with wider manufacturing, distribution, logistics and wider production will be considered, if relevant.
