Health and Safety Manager, London

Our client, a niche Commercial Property Management are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their team in London.

Responsibilities:

The Health & Safety Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the organisation's health and safety standards. They will lead efforts to ensure compliance with regulations, chair meetings with consultants, and coordinate risk assessments for asbestos, legionella, and fire safety. The manager will ensure all staff receive current training and that health and safety software is effectively utilised across the company.

Additionally, the manager will review and update company policies, oversee the Approved Contractor List, and ensure contractors meet required qualifications. They will manage emergency procedures, guide staff on health and safety matters, and report incidents to the Health and Safety Executive. The manager will work closely with senior management to secure approval for necessary health and safety expenditure, striving to maintain high standards and compliance throughout the organisation.

Skill's you'll need for the role:

In addition to having a passion for operational and workplace health & safety and compliance, you should have the people and communication skills to help articulate your knowledge to help drive Health and Safety culture across the departments you will work with. In terms of a qualifications, candidates must have a NEBOSH-General Certificate.
