They are seeing a strategic and people centric, Health, Safety and Environment Manager. Based on a single, complex and fast paced site who manufacture baked products for major supermarkets. Seeking a passionate, seasoned professional who can lead with gravitas, be a key player on the senior leadership team, take the site on a cultural journey and develop the group strategic at site level. Looking for a true coach and mentor who can really develop and support the new junior HSE Advisor on site.Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements on site, including policies and procedures providing support on site and offering simple and practical SHE solutions within a timely manner.
  • A key player on the site senior leadership team, will work with team to align and drive HSE strategy
  • Develop and have creative control to adapt group HSE strategy and implement at site level
  • Take the lead on innovative and exciting health, safety and environmental projects
  • Working cross functionally with departments, lead on issues but take a coaching & training approach to operational colleagues, taking them on the journey
  • Coaching and mentoring the onsite HSE Advisor who will report into to the HSE Manager
  • Ensure site compliance and encourage continuous improvement
  • Investigate all accidents and incidents, ensuring root cause is achieved and to ensure effective actions are undertaken to prevent recurrence
  • Co-ordinate and positively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Support the site on their cultural maturity journey, engaging and empowering the wider workforce – taking the site on a positive journey.
  • Present HSE updates on a Weekly/Monthly/annual basis, develop and drive Improvement programmes and progression against actions
Qualifications/ Experience:
  • FMCG Manufacturing experience is essential
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent or in progress)
  • Project delivery from start to finish
  • Drive and delivery strategic development and change
  • Able to take the company on a cultural journey
