SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenwich
Salary: 95 - 110 per day (based on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Immediate

Do you believe every child deserves the best start in life, no matter the challenges they face? Are you driven by a sense of purpose to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as they navigate the world? If so, we invite you to become part of our dedicated team in Greenwich, where your compassion and expertise will make a lasting difference.

At our school, we don't just teach-we empower. Every child in our care has a unique path to follow, and as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be the guiding light helping them find their way.

Your Role:

  • Individualised Support: You'll work closely with students who have a range of SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties. Through patient and tailored support, you'll help them break down barriers and make daily strides in their learning and development.
  • Partnership with Teachers: Collaborate seamlessly with class teachers to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning space that celebrates the strengths of every student.
  • Nurture Growth: From academic tasks to emotional support, your role is to nurture both the mind and heart. You'll support children with their studies while also helping them build confidence and social skills, laying the foundation for lifelong success.
  • Focused Interventions: Whether working one-on-one or with small groups, you'll provide the focused attention that every child needs to feel seen, heard, and understood.
  • IEPs and Strategies: You will help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), applying behaviour management techniques that ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
  • Monitor and Celebrate Progress: Keep track of each child's journey, reporting on their progress and celebrating their achievements along the way-no matter how small the step forward, it's a victory worth recognising.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Passion and Dedication: You're not just looking for a job-you want to make an impact. You have a genuine passion for working with SEN students, and you understand the patience, care, and dedication it requires.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience in SEN settings is a plus, but what's most important is your empathy, positive attitude, and ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff alike.
  • Adaptability and Proactivity: Every day is different, and you thrive in an environment where you can think on your feet and adapt to the ever-changing needs of your students.
  • Safeguarding and Care: You're committed to creating a safe and nurturing space for all students, with a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Relevant Qualifications: While formal qualifications like CACHE Level 2/3 are beneficial, we're more interested in your commitment and willingness to learn.

What We Offer:

  • A Welcoming Community: Join a school that truly cares, where staff work together to support not only the students but also each other.
  • Room to Grow: We believe in continuous learning. Through professional development and training opportunities, we'll support your growth as you help others grow.
  • Making a Real Difference: This is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to change lives-yours included. The work you do will have a lasting impact on the children you support and the community we serve.
  • Supportive Leadership: Our leadership team fosters an environment where your ideas are valued, and your contributions make a real difference.
  • Competitive Salary: We offer a salary that reflects your dedication and experience, alongside a range of additional benefits.
