Dinardo Care and Supports Ltd provide an extensive supported housing service for a large number of adults with wide ranging mental health needs throughout South London covering Catford, Lewisham, Peckham, Norwood and Croydon. The company has ambitions expansion plans over the coming 12 months and as a result we have new opportunities for Support Assistants at our new service based in Peckham, South London. You will form part of an established, committed team who make a vital contribution to the effectiveness of our operation, which places the wellbeing of our residents at the heart of everything we do.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. 7am – 3pm and 2pm – 10pm with 30-minute unpaid break

Salary: £25,712 per annum

About the role of Support Assistant

·       You would be a member of the Service Delivery Team and work closely with the Recovery Support Workers.

·       You would act as first point of contact for residents and visitors/stakeholders over the telephone and visiting the unit therefore a professional and friendly manner is required at all times.  

·       Respond to needs and requests of residents promptly, ensuring that the necessary people are informed, or information given to the resident to ensure a satisfactory outcome to their requests.

·       Adherence to company policies and procedures

·       Opening, distribution and dealing with the daily post.

·       Diary management for resident and staff team daily activities and appointments – ensuring all concerned are informed of these and updates/changes are recorded in calendars.

·       Support with attendance of appointments with residents as required.

·       Ensure that the reception/working areas are kept clean and tidy.

·       Administration and filing duties as well as dealing with resident personal allowances and other payment ensuring all transactions are recorded.

·       Use of the Supported Housing CRM system, ensuring updates and changes are recorded and evidenced.

·       Seek advice if a safeguarding concern or incident arises in a timely manner.

About you:

·       A passion for Supported Housing and ensuring the wellbeing of our residents at all times

·       Accurate and efficient administration and recording skills including the use of MS Office and databases.

·       Excellent customer facing skills.

·       Promotes a culture of respect at all times

·       Confidentiality and professionalism

·       Ability to juggle priorities.

·       Empathic and kind, coupled with the ability to be firm and set boundaries as required.

·       The role is subject to Enhanced DBS – Disclosure and Barring Service (Criminal Record check).
