CSSD Manager (Middle East)

About Our Client:Our client is a comprehensive medical complex consisting of 23 hospitals, making it one of the largest and most advanced medical centers in the Middle East. Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled and experienced CSSD Manager to oversee the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) and ensure the highest standards of sterilization and disinfection. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities and a commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise CSSD staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve sterilization and disinfection practices.
  • Coordinate sterilization activities and ensure effective communication among healthcare team members.
  • Oversee the maintenance of sterilization records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Monitor sterilization outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the department budget and resources efficiently.
  • Provide direct support when necessary and serve as a resource for the CSSD staff.
  • Address concerns related to sterilization and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field; certification in sterile processing management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CSSD role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management position.
  • Strong knowledge of sterilization practices, standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team members and other departments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Imperative that all candidates are Western trained.

Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Proficiency in using healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide mentorship and support to CSSD staff.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in sterilization and healthcare management.
  • Active participation in or have co-led a PI project or initiative required.
  • Preferably have participation in accreditations (JCI, CBAHI, similar) as a leader.

Work Environment:

  • Hospital or clinical setting.
  • May require long hours and on-call duties.
  • Exposure to stressful situations and emergency scenarios.

  • Salary:Our client provides a generous, tax-free, and competitive salary. Up to £65,000 GBP tax-free.
