Role:                     Senior Sustainability Consultant

Summary:

Our client, a leading energy consultancy, is looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join their team. This role involves delivering a range of carbon management services, including energy audits such as ESOS and SECR, while providing expert advice on compliance and energy reduction strategies. Key responsibilities include consultative support, compiling emissions monitoring reports, data auditing and conducting complex energy audits, particularly for manufacturing sites. Key responsibilities:

  • Management of portfolio of clients for ESOS, UK ETS, ISO 50001, CCA and EPBD services
  • Advise clients on compliance strategies and carbon management
  • Compile and validate energy and emissions monitoring reports
  • Plan and coordinate carbon management projects
  • Conduct energy audits and deliver reports
  • Ensure quality assurance and review analysts work
  • Manage time and budgets effectively
  • Build strong client relationships per SLAs
  • Stay updated on energy legislation, carbon trading and industry changes.

Skills and experience required: 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in complex energy auditing within an energy consultancy
  • ESOS Lead Assessor certified
  • Extensive experience in energy audits in a range of industry sectors including manufacturing 
  • Strong knowledge and interest in carbon compliance and energy efficiency schemes
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Confidence to lead client meetings independently
  •  Experience with carbon legislation
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Experience with TM44 Level 4 inspections (desirable). 
  • Membership in an energy-related professional body (e.g., Energy Institute, IEMA) and ISO 14064 certification (desirable).
